RAMBLA CELUMBRES

OBSERVE THE FLIGHT

From the bird observatory of Cinctorres or from the Roca Roja (Red Rock) in Portell you can enjoy an impressive natural setting, the Rambla Celumbres ravine. In the Red Rock  vultures lie to rest, and their leaps into the void are really worth seeing. To access, follow the road from Cinctorres to Portell and take the indicated detours.

When passing Forcall, we find a detour that takes us to the Mola la Vila. Climbing to the top of the mountain, we will enjoy stunning views of Forcall.

SANT CRISTÓFOL HERMITAGE

OF THE REGION

Once past Forcall, we will take an indicated detour to the left indicated that takes us to the hermitage of Sant Cristófol. During the ascent we can visit the uninhabited village of Sarañana. After eight kilometers, we reach the hermitage, a place from which you can see various localities such as Cinctorres, Forcall, Morella or Castellfort and most part of the region.

HERBESET AND PEIRÓ DE SANT ANTONI

MOUNTAINS

Following the N-232, about ten kilometers after passing Morella, we will take the detour to the CV-105, which takes us to Herbeset. This town already has a beautiful panoramic view. But a kilometer before arriving, we will find the Peiró de Sant Antoni. From it, we will enjoy breathtaking mountain views.

ROUTE FOR NATURE

Walking through the CV-105 means enjoying the Tinença of Benifassà. There, we will find numerous spectacular natural viewpoints, such as the view after the entrance of Fredes, where you can see the Ballestar and the Pobla de Benifassà, the church of Coratxà, Fredes, the Boixar … There exist a route by car to go from viewpoint to viewpoint  and enjoy nature.

BARRANCO DE LA FOS RAVINE

Barranc de la Fos is the most important ravine of Vilafranca, located to the southeast of the town, a few meters away from the last houses. In these views stand out the hermitage of Sant Cristófol de Benassal, the Peñagolosa (highest peak of the Valencian Community) and Mount Picaio.

From the top of the Tossal Gros we see an extensive territory: the Maestrat, the mountains of Benifassà, part of Catalonia and Els Ports. In a deep we find Vallibona, dominating the course of the Cervol river, and in the distance rises imposing Morella.
