Ares del Maestrat, located atop a peak at over 1300 meters, is one of the municipalities with a rich historical heritage in the area. Despite its modest population of around 200 inhabitants, it boasts a significant cultural heritage that transforms its streets and surroundings into an authentic journey into the past.
The Els Ports Viewpoint, surrounded by an enviable natural landscape, is the true lookout point of the area. History, tradition, fauna, and flora come together in a unique setting in the heights of Castelló.

Surrounding the locality, there are different routes to enjoy either as a day trip or with the family. The Mola Path takes us to a spectacular viewpoint at the top of the crag. For a family-friendly trail, there is the Path of the Mills, offering a route that leads to the Barranco de los Molinos. Another beautiful option in the midst of nature is the Path of Roure de les Berrugues, which starts in the center of Ares del Maestrat and ends at the Barranco dels Prats.
