LA RIVIÈRE BERGANTES

Les rivières de Morella, Calders et Cantavieja se rejoignent pour former la rivière Bergantes au niveau de Forcall, prenant la forme d'une fourche, ce qui donne son nom à cette localité. Il s'agit de la seule rivière de la Communauté valencienne appartenant au bassin de l'Èbre. Tout au long de l'histoire, elle a été une voie de communication importante entre les terres des Ports et l'Aragon. Actuellement, elle est classée site d'importance communautaire (LIC) en raison de la flore et de la faune qu'elle abrite, notamment les forêts galerie de peupliers et de saules, les loutres, etc.

A former hydraulic flour mill driven by the force of the Bergantes River. It was privately-owned and the main users were the people of Villores and the nearby country houses.
The mill was driven by the current of the Bergantes River, which was diverted by a dam built at the Molí de la Torreta mill. From this point, water was taken to the Molí de la Cova mill pond through an irrigation channel and then the force of the water would cause the wheel to turn and, at the same time, turn the millstone (circular stone to break the grain) found inside. After use, a system of channels would take the water to another mill.
The miller would charge a maquila, a percentage of the flour he would grind.
